Coefficient of Thermal Expansion Test Services

Analysis Tech offers contract test services for measurement of coefficient of thermal expansion according to ASTM D696 and ASTM E228 on customer-supplied material samples. Testing services can be performed over a specified range of temperatures within the bounds of -30C to +100C on solids, pastes, and liquids. Results are reported in tabular and graphical formats. Material Sample Requirements

Solid samples are required to have a cross sectional diameter no greater than 0.5 inches (12.5 mm) in order to to fit into the test chamber. Solid material samples are typically tested as a cylindrical or polygonal bar. However, sheet-like solid materials can also be tested with the use of our Thin Sample Holder. Liquids and pastes as well as phase change materials can be tested with the use of our Liquid Sample Holder.
