Event Detector Linking Cable
Connects Multiple Event Detectors to One PC Computer
The Linking Cable is an accessory cable assembly that allows multiple Event Detectors to be linked together on a single RS-232C serial cable so that one PC running WinDatalog software can perform the data collection for all linked units. When connected using a Linking Cable, all linked Event Detectors act in unison as a single unit although the linked units may be of different sizes. A minimum of two or a maximum of four Event Detectors can be be connected using the Linking Cable to achieve up to 1024 channels of Event Detection capability on one PC. All of the familiar features of the WinDatalog software package are available when collecting data from linked Event Detectors including the ability to view the status of all channels in real time.
The Linking Cable is not normally intended to be used with Event Detectors of different families. For example, the Linking Cable can be used to link multiple STD series Event Detectors together, but STD series Event Detectors and 106 series Event Detectors cannot normally be linked together. If this limitation does not meet you specific needs, please contact the Analysis Tech to discuss custom linking options that are available.
